“Communicating Intentionally: The What, the Why and the How”
In the field of Labor and Employee Relations, clear, intentional communication is crucial to building and maintaining the relationships and trust that are the foundation of sound labor relations. Careless or confusing communication can set back important negotiations and undo months, maybe even years of work. In this 30-minute presentation, we will define the process of communication and identify the many elements that make up an oral message. We will also explore several factors that impact the communication process and determine whether the message sent is interpreted by the receiver with the intended meaning. Some Communication Best Practices will be shared at the end.
