The Koppers Building

The Southwestern PA Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association invites you to its first program after a very long COVID-19 related hiatus! We thank all our members and those folks on our mailing list for replying to our questionnaires on when to return and for which types of programs you wanted us to return to. We hope to see all of you in person this October!

The Koppers Building – Conference Room 2 – E. Graham – Lower Level
436 Seventh Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Come listen to Jessica Caggiano speak on the topic of Wage Equity: Women’s Economic Rights in the Work Place. Jessica will discuss the effect of laws intended to promote and protect wage equality between the sexes and the factors that perpetuate wage disparity, as well as the challenges of addressing wage inequity more broadly. Her discussion will focus on recent examples in the news involving the economic rights of professional female athletes in the United States; specifically, the United States Women’s National Soccer Team equal pay lawsuit, the NWSLPA’s fight for better pay in their first collective bargaining agreement, and wage disparity issues raised by the United States’ Women’s National Hockey Team in recent years.
