You’re surrounded, but don’t give up. Being a member of an organization inevitably places you in situations of conflict, but there are ways to reduce its negative impact on you and your coworkers. The savvy response to the uncomfortable messiness of workplace discord is to develop keener insights and skills. Through this engaging presentation, you’ll gain easy-to-remember and easy-to-apply mindsets and tools to be an effective resolver whether you are a participant or in a position to be helpful to others.

Learning Outcomes

Attendees will:

Identify the four apparent barriers to solving serious discord.

Describe two powerful tools for overcoming each challenge.

Learn how to apply the surprising power of objectivity.

Chris Sheesley and his team at In-Accord NW put derailed workplace relationships back on track.  With 32 years of experience, a client roster of hundreds of notable organizations, and a track record of over 2,000 cases, Chris and his team are among the most seasoned conflict management professionals on the West Coast. Chris has over 5,000 hours of experience teaching dispute resolution and related skills.  He earned a Bachelor’s in Conflict Resolution from American University and a Master’s in Organizational Communications. Chris lives in Oregon on seven Clackamas County acres with his wife, two sons, and other critters. He’s been spotted sailing on the Columbia River aboard Escapade, gazing at space through a telescope and gawking at local birds.
