In 2023, DC LERA is focusing on sexual harassment in unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Our panel of speakers is a great mix of academics, academic-practitioners and practitioners. They will discuss a wide range of topics including: the effectiveness of arbitration of sexual harassment cases in unionized and non-unionized workplaces in the US; the ITUC’s #RatifyC190 campaign and global efforts to ratify and implement ILO Convention 190 on Violence and Harassment at Work; implementation of the Dindigul Agreement to Eliminate Gender-Based Violence against garment workers at an H&M garment supplier factory in India; and some cutting edge research on collective bargaining to create female friendly jobs in Brazil and elsewhere.
