You are invited to an IN-PERSON program
Generative AI Is No Longer a Novelty – What You Need to Know
Program
We are pleased to introduce the first in a series of AI programs with an in-person program on May 1, 2026 at noon entitled “Generative AI Is No Longer Novelty – What You Need to Know”
Since the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022, generative AI has moved from novelty to everyday tool for employers, bringing new efficiencies—and new ethical risks. This program will examine the risks, including how existing rules of professional conduct apply when in-house lawyers use generative AI, whether for research, drafting, or internal advice.
Speakers
Our presenters, Dan Schwartz and Claire Pariano, both of Shipman and Goodwin, LLP, will demystify the technology and key terminology, then tackle core ethical issues including confidentiality and privilege, data privacy and vendor risk, bias and reliability of outputs, accountability for AI-assisted work, and the evolving duty of technological competence. Attendees will leave with a practical framework and concrete safeguards to help them harness generative AI’s benefits while meeting their ethical obligations.
