
What’s New at the American Arbitration Association?
Kenneth Egger, AAA-Vice President, along with AAA colleagues Patrick Tatum and Ann Lesser will provide an overview of the AAA’s various Labor, Employment and Election divisional initiatives. The discussion will include an update of labor and employment case statistics, case and election trends, an overview of the AAA’s labor and employment panel application process as well as an organizational update addressing various AAA Diversity Initiatives.

Ken Egger heads up the AAA ® Philadelphia Regional Office, focusing on the AAA’s Labor, Employment and Elections Division.
Ken oversees the operations, development and panel of arbitrators for the Labor and Employment Arbitration caseloads in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Ken has been with the AAA since 1983 and has served as a Vice President for more than 30 years.
Ken has been lecturer or panelist at ADR programs sponsored by the American Bar Association, National Academy of Arbitrators, Labor and Employment Relations Association and in-house legal departments.
Ken has actively participated and led various training programs for the Labor/Management Community, including introductory and advanced advocacy training, grievance mediation, collective bargaining as well as developing specific in-house training programs.
Ken has also attended and participated in AAA mediation training programs during his tenure at the American Arbitration Association and has served on various committees over his long tenure and he currently serves as a Board Member for the New Jersey LERA Chapter.
Ken is dedicated to promoting ADR methods and systems; he also serves as the National Vice President responsible for AAA election activities and administration, extensively working with high profile unions and corporations.
Ken graduated with honors from Rutgers University in 1982 with a Business/Finance Degree (with honors) and minor degree in Law.
Ann Lesser, Esq., Vice President

Ann Lesser heads up the AAA ® New York Regional Office, focusing on the AAA’s Labor, Employment and Elections Division.
Ann oversees the labor and employment caseload interacting with AAA’s clients who file labor and employment cases and the panelists who serve as arbitrators and mediators in those cases in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Additionally, she oversees AAA’s election services in those states and is engaged in outreach and educational programming in those states as well. Ann also co-chairs AAA’s diversity and inclusion committee.
Ann’s professional affiliations include The American Bar Association (labor and Employment Section) New York State Bar where she is on the Executive Board of the New York State Bar and co-chair of the ADR sub -committee. New York City Bar Association (member of the labor and employment section). New York City LERA (past president) and Long Island LERA (executive board member). Nassau County Bar (member of the labor and employment section and dispute resolution section), and ABA (member of the Labor and Employment Section).
Prior to joining the AAA, Ann served with Region 29 of the National Labor Relations Board in Brooklyn, NY, where she investigated unfair labor practice charges and represented the General Counsel in formal hearings before Administrative Law Judges and in federal court proceedings for injunctive relief. She also served as a hearing officer and decision writer in Representation cases and conducted elections.
Ann earned a BA Degree in International Relations from Tufts University, a JD from Suffolk University School of Law, and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.

Western Case Management Center (WCMC) of the AAA
Patrick has been with the AAA since 2000 serving as a case manager in WCMC; Assistant Vice President of Neutrals Education with focus on conducting and observing AAA Training programs; Supervisor of Finance and National Customer Service; and Supervisor of the Labor and Employment caseloads in WCMC and Assistant Vice President of Labor, Employment and Elections Division.
Patrick has a B.S. in Business Administration with option in Legal Environment from the California State University, Fresno.
