The Arizona Labor and Employment Relations Assocation (formerly AIRA) is the state’s oldest, most prestigious and active association for practitioners and professionals in the field of industrial relations (public and private sectors) and human resources management. As a chapter of LERA, ALERA is a unique organization where those interested in labor relations and human resources interact to learn more about the profession, share ideas, network and keep abreast of new developments and research.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
The Arizona Industrial Relations Association (AIRA) changed its name to the Arizona Labor & Employment Relations Association (ALERA). This change was made in an effort to align our chapter more closely with the national organization of Labor & Employment Relations Association (LERA) as well as to define more succinctly who we are and what we do, as in the LERA motto, “Advancing Workplace Relations”.
The Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA), formerly the Industrial Relations Research Association (IRRA), was founded in 1947 because of a need for professionals from different organization in the field of labor, industrial and employment relations to become better acquainted and keep current with the practices and developments in the field. To our knowledge, no other organization affords the multi-party exchange of ideas – a unique benefit of belonging to LERA and AIRA.
The 44-member chapter meets for Professional Development Programs at lunch several times a year.
Annual Dues are good from January 1st to December 31st.
